Mango & Chickpea Salad

If you are someone who loves Mangoes, and are following a diet chart to lose weight, make sure to add Mango & Chickpea Salad in it. Mangoes aren’t unhealthy, but excessive consumption will always fluctuate the sugar levels in the body. To consume mangoes guilt-free, always combine them with a protein source and healthy fats. This would neither make you gain weight, nor fluctuate your sugar levels. This one is a refreshing, easy, and nutritious bowl you would never regret making.


  • 1 medium mango, chopped
  • 1 cup boiled chana
  • 1 cup red & yellow bell peppers, chopped
  • ½ onion, chopped
  • ½ cucumber, chopped

For Mango & Chickpea Salad Dressing:

  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp cumin
  • 1 tsp fennel seeds
  • 1 tsp coriander powder
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1 tsp honey


  • Dressing: Heat oil in a tadka pan, add cumin, fennel seeds, coriander powder and let it splitter. Let it cool down. In a glass bowl, add this oil tempering, lemon, and honey. Mix this well.
  • In a bowl add chopped vegetables, chopped mango and boiled chickpeas. Drizzle the dressing prepared, and mix it well.
  • Keep it in the refrigerator for 15 minutes and relish!
