Hung Curd Sandwich

Here’s a recipe for a delicious and healthy Hung Curd Sandwich:

Ingredients:

  • 4 slices of whole wheat bread
  • 1 cup hung curd (thick yogurt)
  • 1 small cucumber, finely chopped
  • 1 small carrot, grated
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon roasted cumin powder
  • Salt to taste
  • Fresh coriander leaves, chopped (optional)
  • Lettuce leaves or sprouts (optional)

Instructions for Hung Curd Sandwich:

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine hung curd, finely chopped cucumber, grated carrot, finely chopped onion, black pepper powder, roasted cumin powder, and salt. Mix well to combine all the ingredients.
  2. Take a slice of whole wheat bread and spread a generous amount of the hung curd mixture evenly on one side.
  3. If desired, sprinkle some fresh coriander leaves on top of the curd mixture.
  4. Optionally, add a layer of lettuce leaves or sprouts on top of the curd mixture for added crunch and freshness.
  5. Place another slice of bread on top of the filling, pressing gently to make a sandwich.
  6. Repeat the process to make more sandwiches with the remaining bread slices and hung curd mixture.
  7. Cut the sandwiches diagonally into halves or into desired shapes.
  8. Serve the Hung Curd Sandwiches as a healthy and flavorful snack or pack them for a picnic or lunchbox.
